About us

The Hersey Huskies Feeder Basketball Program has been part of the Hersey Feeder Youth Sports 501(c)3 and the John Hersey High school extended family for many years. In 2019, we started to see a decline in program enrollment due to the proliferation of local competitive AAU teams. As a result, in 2020, a group of community leaders, coaches and parents decided to re-imagine the program into a 501C3 non-profit organization with a renewed focus on building a competitive program that focuses on team development, discipline, hard work and developing high basketball IQs. Our program directors are made up of business executives and high-school basketball teachers and coaches. Our coaches all have over 5 plus years’ experience coaching multiple teams at the high-school varsity level. Coaches are evaluated and hand-picked to make sure their basketball philosophy and coaching style aligns with our program goals and expectations. Ultimately, we are focused on preparing boys for the demands and expectations of High School basketball.
